Tell us a little bit about your background.

I was born in Lakenheath, England and moved when I was 2 to Alabama. Except for living in California for 4 years, I have resided in Alabama. I have been very blessed do experience a lot of travel, both international & domestic. I attended school in a small town of Eclectic, AL and later college at Troy University, where I earned my bachelor’s degree in Banking and Finance and a master’s degree in Human Resource Management.

I began my career in finance, banking and insurance including 4 years as a Branch Manager. After 10 years in the industry, I made a career change to a tier 1 & 2 automotive supplier and served 3 years as their human resources manager. In this role, I discovered my passion for recruiting and have worked as a full-time professional recruiter ever since.

With over 15 years of experience in the manufacturing and automotive industries, I get to live out my passion for developing ‘human’ resources and the workforce as well as placing the right talented individuals with the right organization.

What are your key accomplishments in your field/on the job?

MS degree and HRM and HR certifications

Why did you choose to work in this industry?

Love people and love to service.  I also love making a difference.

Tell us about your approach to recruiting.

Bull-dog, persistent, love matching people with the right company and

right job.

Describe yourself using only film titles.

Pay it Forward & Rat Race

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?

Colossians 3:23 has always resonated with me, which states: “Whatever

you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for

human masters”.

Additionally, I am a glass-half-full type of person who makes an effort to stay positive and optimistic. I enjoy searching for the good in everything. I believe everything happens for a reason and most situations can be 1) lightened by how we choose to see it or 2) improved by problem-solving, seeing the bigger picture, or thinking outside the box.

What one song will you always know every word to?

I love Contemporary Christian Music, Gospel Hymns, and 80s pop.

Three songs I am partial to:

  • Let Me Tell You About My Jesus – Anne Wilson

  • You Raise me up – Caleb and Kelsey

  • Jesus Paid It All (A Capella – Anthem Lights)
